MARCH 23, 2005 UPDATE
Sorry for being a little late with the up date on the North Central Health Services Lodge, but here it goes.
The footings have been poured and approved. Next, the stem walls were poured and then pea fill added along with the insulation. The Insulation was rolled back so the bug exterminators could do their work. Now we folded the insulation back on the pea fill and wait for A & K along with IMI to pour and finish the concrete slab. A&K and IMI say they will be pouring concrete sometime during the week of March 27th.
In the mean time we have been busy. We have purchased the lumber and built the walls, now ready for installation. We have purchases the entrance electrical wiring, the shower has been purchased, (we have the stool, but still have to purchase the lavatory). Back in January, we ordered the trusses and they were delivered this date. Also on this date we ordered the windows and doors.
At the property meeting of March 19th, we have projected the occupancy date of June 15th
As we proceed with the actual construction, I will attach pictures of the construction of the lodge.

FEBRUARY 15, 2005 UPDATE
Well, since our weather been a little agreeable, we have been able to dig for the footings and get them approved before we poured concrete. Also at this time we put a PVC tile in for the routing of the sewer line as well as the water line. Once the footings were set, the forms were put into place for the walls and concrete poured for the walls. At this time, the ranger is fabricating the sewer line as well as the water line and getting them in place before the floor slab is poured. Once the slab is poured we will be able to start building and installing the walls.
We will keep you in updates as deem necessary.

It all started back in early September 2004 when the Property Committee approved to move forward on getting estimates from various contractors. Clay Isley received a primarily set of plans to proceed to evaluate and add suggestions.
Our next meeting was a special meeting in late September 2004 pertaining only to the Lodge. Information was given as to what 84 Lumber will do, what Clay Isley will do, and what A & K Construction will do for Cary Camp. The next step was to take the findings to the Council Board.
October 2004 the Council Financial Committee and the Executive Board approved the Proposal of the NCHS Lodge at Cary Camp.
After many phone calls to State Health Department, Indianapolis and personal contacts with the Local Building Commission and the Health Department, we received the Permit on the 22nd of November 2004
Now action takes place. First trees were cut, and stumps removed. The next thing that took place that Clay Isley gets behind the wheel of a backhoe and proceeds to excavate the area for the septic tank and the run for the finger system. The tank was delivered on the 3rd of December 2004 and set into place. Once the tank was in place, the finger system was laid into place by Bill Hoover, Latham Darrell, Clay Isley, and George Nelson. This system has been approved by the Health Department.
Since there is a gradual decline in the layout of the area, fill had to be added, which is in the amount of 200 Tons. As of this date, (January 2005) we have been at a stand still in construction, due to weather conditions, however, we are still making contacts, and purchases toward the project. As thing happen, we will up date this notice.
Upon completion this building will used as the First Aid facility and trading post during resident camp and will serve many other uses the rest of the year.
